I am in the process of marketing my first book Who is Jesus Christ, a book about the realiity of all humanity becoming who Jesus Christ was. Practical information to get all Christians thinking about who they really are. I am planning a day-long workshop titled God With us: The Implications. If this is of interest to any of you let me know. My phone number is 207-667-3130 if you would like more information
I'm interested in posting regular journal entries about my daily writing adventures. I'm a young mother of four who's in the final process of submitting my YA novel to agents. Although at times the process has been daunting, for the most part it has been an adventure I plan to turn into a full writing career. I'd love to share the daily quandries of creating--when I'm not spilling my coffee--with anyone willing to network or simply vent. I'm a tad off-beat--duh, with four kids that was tough to tell--but I still have enough energy and enthusiasm to create my storyworlds and step forward with this blog. Love to hear from you, Sher
Good luck Sher with your submission. I am a new writer that has just been published. The book isn't in stores yet but is in many online sellers such as Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com. I understand what it is like to write with kids at home. I have two daughters that are teens and always needing my services for something or other. The writing was the easy part for me, it was all the rest that was a struggle. The multiple times that it needed editing since I did not have an editor. Couldn't afford one actually. My daughter in law came through for me and helped in that end. The endless times that I needed to submit a synopsis to the different departments. Anyway, it has been published and I survived and learned so much from it all. Please email me if you need any comfort through your process. I wish you the best in your effort. Best Regards, Launa McNeilly, Lies in a Season of Tribulation
Hi All, I'm hoping to connect with someone in the Maine writing world. I have lots of questions for anyone that wants to have his or her brain picked. I'm new to all this and doing my best to keep the plugs going for my book but I really could use some helpful advice from someone who has been where I am now and knows the steps that I should take. Wishing out loud if any Maine authors are around.
I, too, would love to connect with a fellow writer who might be willing to share/critique and receive same in return. I primarily write fantasy and I read almost anything. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi Cat7, I am a newborn in the writing world. I have only my own experiences to rely on but always willing to help when I can. It's nice to connect with another Maine writer!!
Mainely Marla and cat7, I'm thrilled you've responded. I had given up that someone would take me seriously. I'd love to connect with you both. I can be reached at email@example.com, anytime. :-)
I forgot. Mainely Marla, I would have emailed you but I didn't have any contact information. Feel free to contact me. I'm psyched about your book that's coming out. Nice job.
hi Mainely Marla, good to hear from you. I wish I could offer some advice but I don't even have an agent yet, nevermind a book in print. I do, however, have a book I bought called The Savvy Author's Guide to Book Publicity by Lissa Warren which has: '10 things you can do if your book's not getting any media attention, tips for crafting your press materials, and advice from editors and booksellers.' I know one thing is to offer to do readings and/or signings at as many public libraries and bookstores as you can get to. Not sure where you live but hey, start there and work you way out. 'Course you may have already done that!anyway, if I have time I'll skim thru the book and see if any helpful hints jump off the page :)
Thanks, Cat7! I'm working on the local independent bookstores! Any tips you skim off the pages will be appreciated!!
Mainely Martha, have you contacted MPBN? They might be interested in reviewing and or onterviewing you as a local author. Just a thought as I sip my morning coffee...
No I haven't but that is not a bad idea. Thanks!!
Mainely Marth, do you have someone in charge of publicity for your book? Maybe they have some suggestions.
Hi Cat7, Not really. It's sort of up to me to take what the publisher has done and run with it. Just never have been much of a salesperson. Anyway, doing my best in all avenues. Thanks for your suggestions.
Hi Sher, The book is out. Lies in a Season of Tribulation by Launa McNeilly. It's available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble in Augusta, Me and of course B&N online. I saw it in the Augusta store and was so excited. If you are ever in Augusta, check it out! Nice people there.
It doesn't look like a lot of people check in here very often but I'll give this a shot anyway. I am interested in starting (or joining) a writing group with others who are serious about getting published. I know we all live rather far apart but maybe we could change locations to accomodate. email me if you're interested.

I am wondering if anyone knows who is responsible for this blog? Not to be mean but it doesn't seem to be well maintained. Do they need help? And yes, that's an offer.
